PANCRASE, a long-established mixed martial arts organization with over 30 years of history

PANCRASE is a MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) organization that has been holding professional and amateur championships for more than 30 years since its flagship event on September 21, 1993. It is now one of the major MMA organizations in Japan.

Now, UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) grew into the major league of MMA field in the world. The first UFC event was held in 1993, the same year as PANCRASE, and this shows how PANCRASE was the world’s pioneer in this field.

Emphasis on functionality in the pro division and safety in the amateur division

The newly renewed official Pancrase open-finger gloves do not have thumb covers to provide a better grip and ease of grasp, and in addition, have a thicker padding than the previous open-finger gloves for increased safety.
The Amateur Pancrase-approved pound gloves (Safety Gloves) can be used safely in both practice and competition. The urethane cushioning provides excellent feeling of impact.
The Amateur Pancrase-approved knee pads (Flex knee guards) have Velcro under the knees to keep them in place, and side padding to protect the entire side of the knee from low kicks.
